When I started the professional journey of photography it kinda started with the traditional/pin-up boudoir – the empowerment of seeing women with a sensual power. It was fun. Majority of the women did it for their husbands – and yes some for themselves..because it was an experience. I did my boudoir right after my second child was born with Tara Tomlinson and still hold those images dear to this day..I mean there are three of them printed in my room right now.
After moving into family photography I began appreciating the sense of beauty with motherhood..loved embracing these two aspects of a woman. The woman she can be for her husband and the woman she can be for her children..
….and now the woman she can be for herself. I am photographing the beauty that women have deep within – the soul their husband is drawn to – the heart their children receive. This woman. That we all are. Poised.
Poised, by definition, means having a graceful and elegant bearing.
